Medication management is the ongoing part: prescribing, reviewing how something is working, and adjusting it when your life or your symptoms change. It is not a one-off prescription and a wave goodbye.
It usually follows a Psychiatric Evaluation, because the decision about whether medication has a part to play, and which one, comes out of that longer first conversation.
A review appointment runs one hour and covers:
- What has changed since the last appointment, in your own words.
- How you are finding anything you are taking, including side effects you are not sure are related.
- Whether the current plan still fits your work, sleep and responsibilities.
- What to do between appointments if something changes, and how to reach us.
Bring the names and doses of anything you take, including anything prescribed elsewhere and anything over the counter. If that is easier as a photo of the boxes, that is fine.
Whether a particular prescription can be issued at a particular appointment is a clinical judgement your provider makes with you, and it can depend on the medication. Ask at the appointment rather than assuming either way.
We see adults 18 and over, in person in Bowie or by telehealth.

Send a short request online, or pick up the phone. The request asks only for your name, email, phone, the best time to reach you and the service you want.
We call you back
We'll call you back the same business day. If you reach us after 4pm or on a Sunday, we'll call the next morning we're open.
Your first visit
A 60-minute visit, in Bowie or by telehealth. Bring a list of anything you take now, including anything prescribed elsewhere. Decisions are made with you, not for you.

How do I get started?
Request an appointment online or call (240) 486-0921. You do not need to explain everything up front. When we talk, we find a time that works and check your insurance. We'll call you back the same business day. If you reach us after 4pm or on a Sunday, we'll call the next morning we're open.
How soon could I be seen?
New patients can often be seen within a day. Send a request or call and we will find the earliest time that suits you.
Can my first appointment be by video?
Yes. You can come in person at 6915 Laurel Bowie Road, Suite 201, Bowie, MD 20715, or meet by telehealth, including for your first appointment.
